We are about to do our 5th spacecraft launch from nearspace balloon on the 19th of October. We will be testing our optical tracking and ground control systems as well as longer range live video and telemetry. Or current best is 70 miles with 100% reception this test should be in the 100 mile range. We have had varying success thus far with all previous missions ending in a crash (and one accidental safe landing or should I say recovery) The other 3 ended in contact with the ground at high speed completely destroying the spacecraft. (around 150 mph) Let's bring this one home! Target altitude is 100kft so far 88,000 is our best with these spacecraft.
