I thought about mentioning it before but the latest installment has some links to their transmitter supplier that could be useful for tracking prototypes so i thought i would share.

Haha These guy's (Big Red Bee) are one of our sponsors! We use the 5 watt version of this transmitter and it is in this first rockoon launch. One reason for the delay of that launch is I burned it out by applying the wrong voltage to the wrong pin's (it's default set up is 9V not 12) it can handle 12V but you have to change the pins. Tell Greg at BRB Monroe sent ya! There is some pictures on the facebook page of this and the flight computer from Featherweight Altimeters they are awesome too. Tell Adrian there I sent you too! These are to main components you can use for a rockoon or balloon mission.

While you at it check out the Arducopter! That's our launch platform.

http://code.google.com/p/arducopter/

Our platform is based on one of these with Scherrer UHF (Copenhagen Suborbitals same guy) long range 7W transceivers and 20W video FPV/OSD and ground station/antenna tracker

I have the Arducopter there are photo's of ours on the FB page too. and the prototype rotor's we made for flight at 100,000 ft!

I still need the FPV/OSD equipment I'm just out of money right now.
